Enjoy year-round adventures from alpine skiing to deep sea diving, mountain biking to kilometers of shoreline for paddlers to explore. The Valley also has over 50 year-round festivals, a plethora of community events, and plenty of live music. On Courtenay’s 5th Street shop at one-of- a-kind boutiques and visit the local restaurants, farmers market, and vineyards for the renowned local food scene.

There are over 85 family physicians in 20 family practice clinics in the Comox Valley including one military based clinic, one clinic  on each of the Island of Denman and Hornby, three walk-in clinics, and one After Hours Urgent Care Clinic.

Hospital acute care is provided Comox Valley Hospital. One of two new North Island Hospital Campuses which opened in October 2017. Many of our family physicians provide hospital care for their patients.

Comox Valley and Campbell River are host to the UBC Family Medicine Residency Program and are collectively known as the Strathcona Site. For more information, visit the UBC website.

PLAY in the Comox Valley with so many things to do

The Comox Valley is deeply set into nature with many large and small parks within the towns and surrounding them. Biking ranges from technical downhill to comfortable cross-country trails and beach cruising.

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is located 30 minutes away from Courtenay and Comox and offers world-class cross-country and downhill skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, and snow tubing.

There are theaters, choirs, dance companies, and festivals galore, including the Vancouver Island Music Festival, the Filberg Festival, the Denman Readers and Writers Festival, and the Comox Valley Farm Cycle Tour.
